Made a little progress today with the issue.

/usr/LH/bin/lh_system_restore_job backup.2013-07-13_21-50.tgz cleanup

Noticed that it gave a message that mythconverg might become unsable and would be it in the tmp directory

So ran myth-setup and the flags cames out but I could see a window behind that said "upgrade to 1299"

This didn't do much so I looked in the tmp directory and here's listing

That's about it, still stuck

When I had issues with my database upgrading from 6.02 to 6.04 and on to 7.2 I found the best way was to take my 6.02 database make a brand new clean install of 6.02 in a virtual machine on my Windows box do a partial upgrade and then try to upgrade again from there. Once I had a working 7.2 backup I did a clean install on my LinHES box and restored it. Worked like a charm.

My System

Since the database crashed the light went on in the tunnel from jams. Mythconverg contracted (2 copies and half the tables). I'm surprised that it even worked at all this way. Here is an example

Because the backup is now automatic it took a database crash to discover that the R8 mythconverg databases are squished going forward!

So the next question now is what to do? (import, restore, migrate) the working mythconverg from last backup of R7.5 into my currently empty R8.02 and get the schema up to 1299?
