I have two unrelated questions. 1) How do I change hotkeys in enlightenment and LinHES 8.1? Facebook has taught me a bad habbit of hitting shift enter which in LinHES opens an xterm window. 2) where is Java in the repository? I searched for Java and JRE with no success. Thanks, |

1- All LH defined hotkeys are controlled by keylaunch. ~/.keylaunchrc or /etc/keylaunchrc. Alt+enter sounds like a e hotkey and I don't think we modify them from what e provides. I am not sure how those are changed. 2- jre7-openjdk |

I am not sure how those are changed. To expand one step more. ~.keyaunchrc should be a symlink to /etc/keylaunchrc. If changes are made to /etc/keylaunchrc they will be erased on upgrades. However if you break the symlink and make changes to ~.keylaunchrc changes will be preserved. This also means that whatever new shortcuts assigned by the pkg will not be picked up by your install. |

well that's no fun why don't generic names point to packages in the repository. for example if I do "pacman -S jre" why doesn't automatically point to the newest pacakge. is there a way to search for packages with only partial names like a wildcard * or something? For example transmission is in the extra repository but you have to find it's full exact name. |
