Hello,
I have change my lighttpd to listen on port 81. When would I change Xymon to monitor on this port so that it doesn't complain about http not running?

Think I found the config in /home/xymon/etc/analysis.cfg. I changed the http LISTEN port to 81 for the Master Backend section. Now to figure out how to restart Xymon to have those changes take effect. Or maybe just wait until it isn't recording and reboot the whole thing.

Ok, I see that changes to these files take effect on the next xymon update. And my change fixed the "Ports" error, but the "http" error is still there. Back to the config files.

Note that the next time xymon is updated your changes will most likely be overwritten.

Yeah, I'm making note of these type of changes in that event. Is there a place to put this type of change that won't be overwritten?

Not that I am aware of.

That's what I figured. I know there are some config files that can be put into the /home/mythtv folder, but I didn't think that this fell into that category.

Still trying to figure out where the http to localhost is defined in the xymon configs to change it. Not that it really matters, but I'd like to have these alerts actually means something.

Ah ha, the hosts.cfg has the check I was looking for. It looks like it is a comment, but the lines are actually the config of what things xymon should monitor. Kind of annoying that they use the # at the beginning of the line to denote a comment, but in the middle of the line to start the list of things to monitor.
