well that fixed it!!!! That seems like a very powerful Python script. Reading the output as it worked it was touching A LOT of important systems in MythTV. What is it's primary use? My first attempt came back with a "permission Denied" so I ran it with a sudo. Thanks, MattBatt |

systemconfig.py is a powerful script and frankly it's the heart of configuring and installing LinHES. The linhes service manger menus provide the gui and writes out /etc/systemconfig. From there systemconfig.py is called to run whatever modules need to be run. systemconfig.py -m network will read /etc/systemconfig and then configure anything network related according to whats in /etc/systemconfig. It's not very smart in terms of playing nice with manual changes so it will overwrite anything it touches (with a few exceptions). |
