After updating to R8.2 my usb MyBook (ntfs filesystem) would not auto mount.

When using R8.0 and R8.1 the drive would mount, and was readable but I couldn't write to it. In order to be able to write to the drive I had to install the ntfs-3g package.

So I ran "pacman -Sy ntfs-3g" to install the package. Then I rebooted with the usb drive still attached.
Code:
Side note: with the usb drive plugged in it caused the shutdown to hang with the same old message and I had to use the rest button again

When the box came back up the front end started. (I have it set to auto restart if the front end dies)
well the frontend kept flashing (I assume the frontend was getting killed by something that had to do with the mounting of the usb drive) After about 6 or 7 times the light on the ready light on the usb drive came on solid and the the frontend stayed up.

If I umount the drive it unmounts ok, but if i plug it back in it kills the frontend and goes through the same cycle etc

I know I could kill the frontend, plug in the drive wait for the drive to come ready then restart the frontend, but in previous releases it just mounted without any problems.

Am I missing another package that needs to be installed?

Thanks ..

I have 2 USB 3.0 drives attached to one of my systems (one for TV backup, the other for movies and everything else) and am running the latest 8.2 with no issues. They automount fine. I have a usb controlled switch that turns the drives on every night as part of a cron job and off when finished. This worked out of the box with 8.2.

Have you tried a different USB drive?
