I have been running Zoneminder in an old Ubuntu distro for a long time, until taking the system down due to room painting, too many restarts, corrupted the program so it won't start (says version (1.25) mismatch
I had just upgraded an 8.1.1 to 8.2 and decided to see how the Zoneminder in that worked ...
Well I got the console and used the settings that worked before but I get a sea of red in the logs ...
Primarily a message: 'Can't open memory map file '/dev/shm/zm.mmap.3': No such file or directory' repeatedly.
So some internet research sez this may fix that (but I think it refers to a Ubuntu-based ZM ....

Shared data size conflict in shared_data for monitor Monitor-1, expected 328, got 316.
I traced this error back to /usr/share/perl5/ZoneMinder/Memory.pm with the cause sourcing at line 130 in the perl script.
To hopefully fix this issue, change the line at 130 from
our $arch = int(3.2*length(~0));
To the following (It's advisable to comment out the old line and leave it there).
our $arch = 32;
One of the reply's was: "Thank you. It also solves other problem with shared memory file
Can’t open memory map file ‘/dev/shm/zm.mmap.1′: No such file or directory"
Unfortunately, I get 'file not found' looking for '/usr/share/perl5/ZoneMinder/Memory.pm'
Is there a road map to where LinHes puts the ZM files ?
