I have been away for a couple of weeks. I got home a couple of days ago and found my system had been reporting some errors about missing files. I tracked it down to something that happened on 6/26 (I was out of the country at that time). /usr/local/bin directory was gone - no log entry, no nothing... Has there been some change or something that anybody can tell me about? I was able to recover from a backup but I have no clue about what happened ( I have a number of scripts and programs in that directory)...

Thanks

Not sure what you are thinking but I guess a possibility is power outage with auto restart? auto update?

I am thinking some sort of auto update but I dont have any of my systems set for that. I havent done a fresh install in awhile. I am curious - anyone that has done a recent install (since the latest updates) please look for /usr/local/bin and tell me if it is there... Thanks

Jenks

Don't know if this helps but I recently did and ISO update to R8.3.

/usr/local/bin is empty
