Today when I fired up my machine I had a notice that there where Updates available in the Service Menu so I clicked on the service menu and was hit with a popup "The file linhes.xml is incomplete". I can not enter the service menu. Everything else seems to be working. A reboot did not help the situation. It seems strange that it has anything to do with a update because I have updates set to manual. The last update I installed was about a week ago and haven't had problems until today so that seems unlikely.

Below is posted screen clips of what is in the files in the two locations on my machine.
/usr/share/mythtv/themes/defaultmenu/linhes.xml
/tmp/linhes.xml

Any Ideas where to start a fix. Is it as simple as replacing the linhes.xml with one off of the disk or anther machine?

I was just about to post about this. With the grep update it broke the generation of the linhes.xml. It is now fixed but if the linhes.xml is already broke you will need to open a term (Alt+x) and do
Code:
sudo pacman -Syu
The update of mythtv will fix the broken linhes.xml and the LinHES-system update should keep it from breaking again.

I run the code "sudo pacman -Syu" the system updated and fixed the problem. I rebooted and no unintended consequences showed up.
Thank You for your expertise.
