My system seems to responding very slowly to remote commands. At least for the first load of recordings. In other words after pressing recordings on the remote, the screen just freezes for 15 seconds and then the recording screen comes up just fine. Selecting a recording to watch does another 10-15 second delay before the recording starts. Anyone have any suggestions on what could cause this. Never had this problem before and it has just grown over time.

I did a
Code:
mysqlcheck -u mythtv -pmythtv mythconverg ;

and got an all clear except for

Code:
mythconverg.recordedseek
warning  : Table is marked as crashed and last repair failed
warning  : 1 client is using or hasn't closed the table properly
error    : Invalid key block position: 278660227118242200  key block size: 1024  file_length: 44106752
error    : key delete-link-chain corrupted
error    : Corrupt

Does this have anything to do with it? I thought this was just for jumping around inside of a recording.

Thanks for any help

Have you tried:
Code:
optimize_mythdb.pl

It should repair any crashed tables as part of its process.

I also found: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Repairing_the_Seektable
but it looks a bit labourious.

with mysqlcheck I think you would use the --auto-repair or the --repair flag which I think amounts to the same thing as optimize_mythtb.pl

Also found this thread which I think is fairly complete in terms of options.
http://lists.mythtv.org/pipermail/mytht ... 39464.html

Hope that helps.
