I have been using plex to allow me to bring offline copies of my recordings on my android tablet on trips as well as download a recent recording when I am at a hotel away from home. Doing so requires a $5/month subscription and the cheapskate in me thinks that there should be a way to do this with user jobs and mythweb. I would think this is a situation that would come up frequently but having googled linhes, mythtv, and the internet in general, I cant find anything. The goal would be to using only MythWeb, to copy a recording to the video folder, transcode it to a smaller filesize (lower quality), and then download it to the tablet. Does anyone know if such a script or userjob already exists? |

myth2mkv sounds like it might work for what you are after and it does have some options to tweak for your purposes. It is in /usr/LH/bin. |
