My system has powered itself off several times in the past. For a while I thought it was the CPU overheat protection, however I finally made some time to look through my log files and found this:
Code:
Mar 17 08:07:28 mythtv sudo: pam_unix(sudo:session): session closed for user root
Mar 17 08:07:28 mythtv sudo:   mythtv : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/etc/sv/mythbackend ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/sbin/poweroff
Mar 17 08:07:28 mythtv sudo: pam_unix(sudo:session): session opened for user root by (uid=0)

I suspect this may be related to the following script:

/usr/LH/bin/mythwelcome-set-alarm.sh

I don't remember configuring this. Anyone have additional information?

That script specifically isn't doing the shutdown but it does set the alarm that if your motherboard supports it will cause it to boot at the time specified. That time will be sometime before the next recording starts.

To disable the shutdown change mythtv-setup > General > Shutdown/Wakeup Options > Idle shutdown timeout. Set that to 0 to disable shutdown.

Thank you for the response. Mine was set to 40, so I've set it to zero and hopefully it will resolve my issue.
