Post subject:  [Solved] 8.5.1 Update - Database Mismatch

Hello,

First - Happy Holiday!!!!!!

I performed an system update today and immediately afterwards the frontend will not start. There is an error message in the 'Mythfrontend Status' link...
Code:
2017-12-24 17:06:07.868580 E [22606] Python Database Connection Database schema mismatch: we speak 1348 but database speaks 1344 Couldn't connect to MythTV database. 2017-12-24 17:06:07.871134 E [22606] Python Database Connection Database schema mismatch: we speak 1348 but database speaks 1344 Couldn't connect to MythTV backend.

I tried to fix the error by running the command...
Code:
sudo pacman -Syu

However, the output indicated the system is up-to-date.

How can the above database error be fixed?

Thanks in advance.

Okay - I figured out, based on the message, that the update that happened using the built-in LinHES tool did not update the backend database to the same version as the frontend.

The fix appears to be updating the backend (at least the database) but how do I do this?

With kind regards,

The solution to the database mis-match error was executing the command in a terminal (Alt+x)

Code:
sudo mythtv-setup

The above command launched the mythtv backend configuration that prompted an update to the backend database to a newer schema. I did this action and was able to launch the backend.

Cheers!
