I got it installed okay on a spare SSD, and existing db restored successfully. Now I just need to find time to tinker with remounting my media drives, and reconfiging LIRC and Samba. |

For what it is worth, I have been running 9.0 for a short while now. Works very well with minor issues (some of which are my fault). It is based on the latest Mythtv release. Again - thanks Britney... |

Good deal. Were you able to get Samba working by chance? I installed it but trying to start it yields "Job for samba.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status samba.service" and "journalctl -xeu samba.service" for details." sudo systemctl status samba.service says Code: Mar 16 11:36:44 mythtv samba[57280]: /usr/bin/samba: /usr/lib/samba/libprocess-model-private-samba.so: version `SAMBA_4.22.0_PRIVATE_SAMBA' not found (required by /usr/bin/samba)

Yes - after several attempts... sudo pacman -Syu sudo pacman -S samba Copied my old smb.conf (or you can write your own) to /etc/samba/ smbd --version Confirm the version sudo systemctl start smb nmb sudo systemctl enable smb nmb sudo smbpasswd -a username |
