I have an old installation of LinHES 8.6 on a hardware raid (using SCSI disks.) I want to get away from rotating media and use ssd only. I've had SSds fail on me, that's why I want to use Raid.
I have three SSDs as software raid 5. That gets detected by LinHES 9, but when the installer tries to create a partition on it it fails.
Has anybody gotten that to work?

Not tried.
I have solved it so that all recordings are put on a local disk and moved over to my file server (which uses software RAID5) daily. With storage groups, it doesn't matter where the files are. If the file server is down, recording still works and the files are moved over when everything is back online. Meanwhile, I can still watch the most recent recordings that are still on the local disk. If the local disk fails, I will only lose today's recordings.
