Is there a LinHES Pamphlet or other upgrade instructions? Every once in a while I go back to the http://www.mysettopbox.tv/ website and click on a few pages to check if anything has changed, but I wondered if I should just ask here. And just to make sure I'm understanding this: LinHES is definitely the current "stable" release, right? That is, by now everyone should go ahead and upgrade to it, no matter what their level of Linux expertise? The upgrade to LinHES in most cases should be as headache-free as a Knoppmyth "Auto-Upgrade"? |

As far as I know there is not yet a set of detailed step by step instructions. Depending on the approach you take and your hardware setup switching to R6 can be fairly trivial or moderately painful. There are some notes posted here from my testing installs, but due to a series of work and family demands I haven't had time to work through all the issues, upgrade my production box, and put together my usual upgrade guide. |
