pacman -S firefox is not finding anything in the database after synching it, has it been removed? Is there an easy way to see what is in the repository that I do not know of? Thanks, Walter |

pacman -Ss firefox will search the repo for firefox. For more info on pacman look here. |

Thanks for that. Still confused as to why it is not there, unless it is an enforcement of the appliance approach. I only want it to get hulu desktop working and it seems to be a requirement based on the directory structure for the flash library. Thanks. Walter. |

The firefox package is in the extra repo. What is in your /etc/pacman.conf? |

Well it is set right now, somehow got the line messed up with two servers on it. Now when i try and install it I get kernel header warnings. I'll post more details later with the exact message. Walter |

This is what I get when trying to install firefox: Code: [root@mythtv /]# pacman -S firefox
resolving dependencies... warning: provider package was selected (linux-api-headers provides kernel-headers) looking for inter-conflicts... :: linux-api-headers conflicts with kernel-headers. Remove kernel-headers? [Y/n] |

It should be safe to answer (Y). As the message implies "linux-api-headers provides kernel-headers" therefore you can remove kernel-headers. |
