My system runs well on KM5.5. TV records well. That being said, I acquired a small IDE HDD to experiment with LinHES. After unsuccessful attempts with 6.01. I decided to continue with 5.5 and wait for 6.02. Attempts to install 6.02 resulted in the Hauppauge PVR500 card undetected during probe. Code: [root@mythtv webmin]# dmesg | grep ivtv
ivtv: Start initialization, version 1.4.0 ivtv: End initialization I piped the complete ouput of dmesg to a file and found that the two ivtv instances were back to back. Not sure what that means but I would think that there would be more instances. My search for diagnostics in the forum were not fruitful: any specific suggestions are apprecaited. Thanks. |

Is the card properly seated? The PVR-500 has been tested w/o issue on LinHES. |

Reseating the PVR-500 fixed the problem. IT's now working. Thanks!! Much appreciated. |
