I have just tried installing R7 on an Asus S1-AT5NM10E Ion2. The install appeared to go well until just after 'preparing for life' when I got an 'install failed' message.

The machine will not boot.

I know the iso is in testing, so I thought I should pass on my experience. My usb DVB cards need the kernel in R7 - I will have to find an alternative until R7 is released.

Clean install ?

A try at update from 6.04 (24 fixes) to 7.00.02 failed for me too

..But I have three machines running clean installs of 7.00.02 with pacman updates (enable the repos)

Yes, it was a clean install on a new machine.

In the process of finding the best setup for the new htpc I have installed Linhes R6.04, Win7, and Mythbuntu 11.04. All installed without a problem. The only one to fail was R7.00.02.
