There is a documentation error in the Wiki for doing an upgrade from 6.03 to 6.04 prior to upgrading to 7.1 The offending web page: http://linhes.org/bugs/projects/linhes/ ... ade_LinHES When doing the upgrade from 6.03 to 6.04 you MUST run the upgrade script from a xterm on the same system. This is because the script forces open an xterm to monitor the mythbackend log file and then launches mythfrontend to complete the database restructuring. I'm not sure how to be allowed to edit the wiki myself otherwise I'd do it there. This might not be so much an error as an omission because the author presumes everyone will do the upgrade from an xterm while ignoring us CLI guys running headless backends. Gus |
