I was so excited after realizing that the installation of LinHES that both my analog and digital tuners were working on the Master and Slave backends, that i forgot to enable remote access to the systems for later configuration access. I would like to re-visit that page in the setup that would give me remote SSH or perhaps VNC access, but cannot seem to find the same page in the setup. How does one enable remote access after the install has been completed? Do I use command line options in the terminal? If so, what commands need to be issued, and what text files need to be altered?

TIA!

So I guess the answer is to re-install. Not my first re-install and it will not be my last :)

Once you can ssh in you can enable vnc by running "x11vnc".

1. If "x11vnc" isn't already installed, "pacman -Sy x11vnc".

2. To do a 1-time enable of the vnc server, simply type "x11vnc" from your ssh window.

3. To launch the vnc server on every boot, add the following line to "/home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps"
Code:
[startup]  {sudo /usr/bin/x11vnc -ncache -nap -wait 50 -passwd mythtv -display :0 -forever -o /var/log/x11vnc.log -bg }
