Hi Guys, my mysql database got deleted during the upgrade install by a mistake I made during an error, is there a way I can re-insert the database scheme into mysql so the upgrade/install will go thru? I want to avoid dong a full installing and wiping the drive as I do have some nifty stuff on /myth partition on the drive.

A few ideas:

1.If you backed up the database, restore from the backup

2. Sounds like your concern is preserving some stuff you have in "/myth". Back it up, do a full re-install and then restore what you backed up.

If you have a back up then you can look at the mythtv wiki for how to do a restore.

If you have no backup then did you try:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual: ... base_setup

This might also be useful:
http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-6.html

The first link is from the mythtv wiki which seems to indicate mc.sql is no longer required. If mc.sql is required it is somewhere in the hierarchy for mythtv. A simple "find" command should discover it for you.

Since you are building a clean database it doesn't matter if you make an error. If it doesn't work you can just dump the database and start again.

As I recall there is also a tool to partially rebuild your tv recording list based on the files in /myth
