Post subject:  R7.4 Install first post and questions!

Hi to everyone, couldnt find any new member area to introduce myself so will include it with my first post.

Ive come over from mythbuntu and debian mythtv setups to give linhes a try as it seems to be what I am looking for.

One or two questions I have regarding the install.

My setup is four hard drives, one 80 gig (operating system drive) plus a 120 gig drive for photos a 250 gig drive for torrents and a 320 gig drive for Recordings and Videos.

When I install linhes on the 80 gig drive does it need the full drive? what is the question during setup about how much space for data? is this just data written by linhes or for recordings etc?

Is Mythweb already setup during install or is it somewhere in the settings ?

Can a desktop environment be installed on the frontend? gnome kde etc instead of one of the window managers included in the setup routine?

I quickly ran through a setup in 15 mins and had tv working! but skipped through a lot of steps to see how the install went and I am impressed at how fast this was to achieve compared to buntu and especially Debian. Looking forward to getting it all working correctly when I get back home (at work now).

im sure I will have many more questions before its all sorted but for now thanks in advance :)

Dave
