Hello,

Mythbuntu user switching to LinHES here. Install of R8.1 good until I try and play a DVD, where upon MythTV pops up a dialoge that says 'Can't read the first 2048 bytes'?

DVD drive is mounted, can be read by both Mythtv and root user, was used to install LinHes and has been used OK under mythbuntu so I think the basic H/W is OK.

Can't see a similar problem reported here on Google, so a bit stuck. If anyone can enlighten me, it will be much appriciated.

AK

good, otherwise the problem would have been a whole lot more complicated to solve :)

Welcome to LinHES, it will be a bit of a change in process from Mythbuntu. Hopefully it works well for you.
