Post subject:  LinHES and Streaming TV like NORA GO

Did a forum search for NORA GO and didn't see anything, so forgive me if this has been answered, and surprised it hasn't been. Is this able to work with IP Streaming services like tvstreamsnow.com? they use an android/iOS/Linux/Windows app called NoraGo that you then log into with your account info (username, password and subscriber id - all provided by tvstreamsnow). then their menu pops up. problem I see initially is their menu seems to have different channels for usa and canada. anyway, any help is appreciated. I am fairly green with linux so didn't want to waste a ton of people's time on this forum trying to help me setup a bunch of stuff if this part cant be answered.

Hey welcome to the forum. Here is the short version: You could probably install that app somehow but it doesn't work out of the box.
Long version: LinHES is an "appliance Linux" it tries to be as self contained as possible and do a few things really well at the expense of being able to do everything. If you use a general Linux like Ubuntu, Manjaro, Fedora, Mint etc. those LInuxes are more configurable for app instillation even going so far as having a GUI app store to install things from. There are a very limited amount of extra apps in the LinHES repository because stability is our main priority. You could in theory compile the app against your LinHES install and there are some tutorials on how to do that, but there are no guarantees that it won't make your system unstable.
When I went to that website and clicked on the Linux icon a chat box popped up instead of a download link.
Good luck.

thanks for the welcome and the reply.
did you check out the tvstreamsnow site or the nora go site and a chat box popped up? I have only installed on fire tv so far tbh so not sure how all of it will go down but am thinking i will put in some hours this coming weekend to try and figure some things out. i have a spare ssd i ran across so was thinking of installing everything on it and trying to setup the recordings to save on that. i will check out the tutorials you mentioned this week and see if i can put together how to install linhes and try to make it work. hopefully i won't have too many questions. again thanks for the warm welcome.
