Hi Guys, I think it has been years since had to ask a question. But here goes. My hd crashed a day ago and i decided to upgrade my mythtv box. I installed linhes 6.1 and am very impressed. Sound vid remote all worked out of the box. I went to the linhes config and remote and turned on serial blaster picked tts3 and found my exact sat box. [root@mythtv-server ~]# dmesg | grep lirc lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 61 lirc_mod_mce: Input driver for Microsoft MCE 2005 keyboard v0.1.5 lirc_mod_mce: Florian Demski lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin: sample_rate: 0 lirc_mod_mce[2]: SMK eHome Infrared Transceiver on usb2:2 usbcore: registered new interface driver lirc_mod_mce lirc_serial: auto-detected active low receiver lirc_dev: lirc_register_plugin: sample_rate: 0 [root@mythtv-server ~]# now in the old r5f27 i would go to my change-chan.sh file in etc and verify it had the proper set top codes. But what do i do next in r6.1? I didn't add the change channel to mythtv setup yet as i don't know what one to add. I found two configured ones in usr/MythVantage/templates. But both have the wrong remote info so i assume they are not created by the mythtv gui. |

Check /usr/bin and see if there is a change_chan.sh there with the correct info. |

| Post subject: | Just can't get serial IR blaster to work |
I've been studying the forums but I can't get a new R6.02 installation to use irblaster with a serial IR to change channels on my Dish receiver. My old KnoppMyth setup used a change_channel.sh script, which I can't find anywhere. Even before that I can't lircd to run. The commands are run intermixed with a tail -f of /var/log/lircd Code: [root@mythbe bin]# /etc/rc.d/lircd restart
