Post subject: | Streamzap Troubleshooting R6.02 |
I am testing a Streamzap receiver \ remote pair (new Duracells 1.6V) by pushing the navigation buttons on the remote and looking for a response on the screen menu. The red LED on the receiver blinks when a remote key is pressed. My readings in the forum suggest that just because the LED on the receiver blinks, this does not mean that your batteries are strong enough (very counter-intuitive). This is why I document the voltage of the new batteries. New batteries should be the first troubleshooting step. I tested the remote at a distance of 6 inches at various angles as suggested by this article. I think that the command below demonstrates that system sees the receiver: Code: [root@mythtv]# lsusb Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0e9c:0000 Streamzap, Inc.
