Having major issues with my HDPVR.

Currently running actual Arch linux as a backend only machine.

did a pacman -Syu last week and it broke the hdpvr install.

I *think* it updated the kernel on that install, but not sure, I did pacman and walked away for a day.

I've got the verbosity turned all the way up on the driver, am using udev rules to make nodes, etc. It SHOULD be working fine, but here's my output in dmesg:

hdpvr 1-2:1.0: untested firmware version 0x12, the driver might not work
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: magic request returned 8
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x1700 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x1500 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x1200 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x1300 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x2900 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x2a00 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x2b00 returned 1
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x2c00 returned -71
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: config call request for value 0x2d00 returned -110
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: control request returned -110
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: no valid video signal or device init failed
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: control request returned -110
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: control request returned -110
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: allocating 64 buffers
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: device now attached to video4
usbcore: registered new interface driver hdpvr
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: no video signal at input 0
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: start_streaming failed
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: no video signal at input 0
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: start_streaming failed
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: no video signal at input 0
hdpvr 1-2:1.0: start_streaming failed
[root@cyclops pkg]#

it is correctly installed on a USB2.0 port. I am unsure what else to do.

I would try a
Code:
dd if=/dev/video0 of=/tmp/test.ts

and ctrl-c after some time and see what you get outside of myth. If you get good video you will know that the driver and devices are OK.

You may need to set it up first with something like:

Code:
v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video1 --set-input=0 --set-audio-input=2

That would set it to component and SPDIF. You can do a

Code:
v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video0 --list-ctrls-menus

To get valid arguments if you are using other inputs.
