Hi all, I made an Intel Atom based system using the ECS 945GCD-M motherboard which is an Intel Atom board micro-atx with 1 PCI-X16 slot, 1 PCI slot, and 1 PCI-X1 slot. This allows you to do whatever with an Intel Atom. I have a gigabyte 8400GS card in the PCI-X16 slot, and my old HD3000 tuner card in the PCI slot. I finally measured the power draw and it is 49-50 watts idle and 52 watts while watching HD video. This is way more than I expected when the system is idle. Is there a way to go to sleep mode and wake up on any key/ or wake up from sleep if it needs to record? How about a way for the video card to go to sleep? Thanks, Rick |

Oh, by the way. I am using the latest version of LinHES. I think it is 6.02. Thanks again, Rick |

Have you looked into mythwelcome? Mythwelome turns your media centre on to record and off again. It currently needs a little fiddling to get it working but nothing major. It should be out of the box in r6.03. HTH |

I second tophee's recommendation of mythwelcome. The atom boots so fast that the advantages of suspend aren't great. I have tried to set up suspend on my system, but I had too much trouble getting the DVB card to come back. Admittedly, I didn't spend to much time trying as a full shutdown is reliable and not much slower. If you are interested in trying suspend, some details on how to set it up can be found here: http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.p ... me+suspend |
