I'd been using KnoppMyth for a few years now and generally loved it. When it came time to reinstall a few weeks back, I read the news item on the front page and decided I didn't want to keep using it THAT bad (I didn't bother checking the date... thus why I am an idiot) so I went to Mythbuntu, which sucked horribly, then Mythdora, only slightly less horrible. Both share one problem though (among the others) and I'm curious as to whether it's my gear or just the fact that neither of them are as fastidious as KM/LinHES. Weird DMA errors make the 2x PVR-150s crap out and require a reboot. Has anyone seen this with R6? In fact, will this system run R6 well enough? AMD64 X2 5000+ (dual core) 2GB Ram Nforce4 chipset 2xPVR-150 pci cards |

If you have been running KM in the past on this hardware, I don't see an issue with R6. I can't speak for the PVR 150s, but I have a PVR 500 that works just fine. |
