Hell all,

I posted a while ago about trying to upgrade to LinHES R6 and have a MBE and SBE both utilizing PVR-350 cards. I have held off on the upgrade but due to a hard drive crash on the MBE decided to give it a go.

LinHES installed and now trying to get tv-out working off of the PVR-350. According to what I have read the IVTV driver should be in the kernel but lsmod shows that it is there as a module.

When I try to start X on the MBE I get the following message:

Code:
(II) LoadModule: "ivtv"

(WW) Warning, Couldn't open module ivtv
(II) UnloadModule "ivtv"
(EE) No drivers available.

Code:
bleve@myth01 ~]$ lsmod |grep ivtv
ivtv                  142788  0

Was wondering if anyone has this working and if so, what teaks were needed to get ivtv to load. I did download and install the latest stable ivtv driver xf86-video-ivtv-1.1.1, but after installing this, I still have the same problem.

Thanks

Found that the ivtv install did not put the ivtv_drv driver into /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers. I put it there and now I get:

Code:
(EE) Probe: Unsupported card 'VESA VGA'
(EE) Screen 0 deleted because of no matching config section.
(EE) Device(s) detected, but none match those in the config file.

Well gave up on this as it was consuming too much time. Still looking to see if someone has gotten this to work.

Thanks
