Post subject: | Getting the Leadtek DTV-2000DS to work in LinHES |
Hello all, I have been trying for some time to get my Leadtek DTV-2000DS to work on my LinHES box. Although I have tried several times I am clearly lacking the skills to figure it out for myself... So, what I am trying to do is compile my own driver for this card alone using the procedures here. Why I am doing this is to fix a known bug (discovered here) that is in the af9013/af9015/tda18271 driver in the v4l package in the linhes repo's (how can I add this as a LinHES bug?). But when I try to compile the driver, I stuff up my other tuner card (DTV-1000T) AND don't ever succeed in getting the 2000DS to work. Can someone please help by either fixing the driver in the repo's or posting a way to *only* update/compile the driver for the af9013/af9015/tda18271 bits. Apparently, once working it is a good little dual tuner DTV card... apparently... ![]() Thanks heaps, Al |

Yeah, that is where I got the instructions to try the bug fix that I have been trying (see OP). The trouble with those instructions is it is Ubuntu centric (not sure if that is my problem or not) and when followed it both didn't fix the problem AND broke my DTV-1000T card. Thanks anyway. |

I'm trying to get this same card working and have followed through the same instructions as you but am unable to get it working. Has anyone had any luck? The driver compiles fine for me but it doesn't load automatically on boot and when I do a modprobe dvb_usb_af9015 it loads the modules up successfully but doesn't create any references under /dev so I can't configure it in to Myth. Any ideas??? I'm running LinHES R6.04. |
