It's looking like the new box is going to need a new wireless keyboard, and based on the amount of web browsing I do on the current one, one with a good pointing device build in. The old ACK-571has served well for years, but is showing signs of having been dropped or knocked on the floor a few dozen times too many. It also wants two PS2 ports when the new MoBo only has one, so I'm probably looking for something with a USB interface. Adesso has a couple that look suitable but they're pricey. Siig has some similar models which are more reasonably priced. Anybody have any favorites or warnings? |

I've bought two ADESSO's (similar to the WKB-3000UB). I liked the first one so much that I be-grudgingly bought another after the number keys stopped working (because of a liquid spill). I agree that they are quite pricey, but they seem to be a little bit higher quality than some junky ones I had bought before. |

My experience is that once I stop thinking about where the keys are, I never have to think about where the keys are. It's kind of like the force, only with typing instead of energy weapons. |

I can do that with my phone and a real keybaord but the lenovo layout is just wrong enough that I have the hardest time with it. I've heard good things about this one. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/usb-rechar ... nter-58528 I forget what it is really called but obviously there are a bunch of knock offs on Chinese websites. |

I've seen similar ones various places that are roughly the size of remote, but those are a bit too tiny for my hands. What I had in mind was more on the order of a "normal" compact layout, like a laptop keyboard, the Apple wireless ones, or the ACK571. |

Another vote against the Lenovo one. Yes it works, but the key layout and the actual shape of the keys make it a pain to use. I wouldn't buy it again. |

I picked up one of the SIIG touchpad ones at MicroCenter tonight and so far it seems pretty solid. I definitely like the touchpad better than the trackpoint type mini joystick. On the other hand I haven't figured out how to copy & paste with it yet... http://www.microcenter.com/single_produ ... id=0339088 |
