Yes, by all means post the deals. Then call my cell phone and tell me personally so I won't miss them!

It took 9 calls, 1 truck roll and 1 cablecard swap, but the HDHOMERUN PRIME is now running properly. Once you get it working you don't have to worry about comcast shifting the frequencies around -- the channel-to-frequency map is mapped by the cable card automatically. I am running on LINHES 6.04.

Comcast charges under $2.00/month for the cable card.

Yeah, or several other places. Not quite as much of a bargain though.

For those interested, newegghas the Centon 4-tuner tuner on sale for $239. Use promo cost EMCYTZT964 to bring the price down from $269 to $239. I believe you have to be registered with them to get the coupon code to work.

I have not used this device myself and don't know for certain if it is mythtv compatible, but I have read good things about it.

It was $219 a couple of weeks ago on the 'egg. Given that my MBE is running in a VM (i.e. no access to PCIe hw) and my SBE does not have PCIe, I'm holding out for the HDHR Prime. The prime seems a lot more 'future proof' anyway in the sense that it only relies on ethernet for connectivity and could potentially be placed behind a closet, on a shelf or some other tight spot, should the need ever arise.

BTW, just checked newegg and it's showing $293 for the ceton... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... D=FWaellsl

$199, free shipping and no tax (for me), not as good as the last deal but good enough.

Any activation tips for comcast bay area? I read one tip online which said to ask for their CableCard support desk when calling..
