It havn't given me a solution. I think I have to get my self a new IR-receiver

I just made a fresh install of LH7, everything is fine except I can't get the remote working. I've seached this forum and everywhere else the last days and I can't find a solution. 'Irw' isn't receiving any input, but when I use 'cat /dev/input/event7' I can see the remote is working. I've set Remote as "hauppaugesilver" and Receiver as "Hauppauge" in the Service menu from ls -la /dev/input/by-path/ I get this: - pci-0000:01:05.2-event-ir -> ../event7 - platform-i8042-serio-0-event-kbd -> ../event0 - platform-i8042-serio-1-event-mouse -> ../event6 - platform-i8042-serio-1-mouse -> ../mouse0 - platform-pcspkr-event-spkr -> ../event1 In the /var/log/lircd I get this: - lircd(default) ready, using /var/run/lirc/lircd - accepted new client on /var/run/lirc/lircd - could not get file information for /dev/lirc0 - default_init(): No such file or directory - WARNING: Failed to initialize hardware Can anybody help me getting my remote working ? |

When I upgraded to R6 I had issues with the remote. I'm not on R7 but have a look for some of my posts - they may help you get the remote working. I could'nt get it working via the service menu - set that to tinker so you don't loose changes on upgrades etc. |
