Post subject:  Internal vs External HD-PVR

We recently switched to Verizon FiOS which has squashed my Firewire setup for non-broadcast stations. The QAM is working, though I need to work on the channels and listings, through my pcHD3000 via coax. To replace the firewire setup, I am considering either the

Hauppauge Colossus PCI Express Internal HD-PVR

or

Hauppauge 1212 HD-PVR

Any pros or cons with these? Has anyone gotten them working? I'm running LinHES 7.2 and my Verizon box is a Cisco DVR if that matters?

Thanks,
Jon

I definitely have the HD-PVR working. I have two of them which have run for about two years. They are sensitive to heat, voltage, signal quality and USB interference but once you put it together and sacrifice a chicken, I have found them to be reasonable stable.

I don't believe there is a driver yet for Colossus.
