The problem is not power supply. Not CPU, Cd drive, or memory. I have substituted 2 known good items for each. Why?

Long, long ago my first KnoppMyth box was built using one of these (or maybe it was a SN41G2?), and it gave me some interesting problems.

One of the big ones was some BIOS setting "C1 Disconnect" IIRC? That problem was genereally associated with disk activity though.

Another one was caused by a flake or shaving from the fairly soft aluminum case (the steel screws tend to chew it up and produce these quite easily) in a RAM slot. That normally took a couple minutes to show up.

Another problem that I've heard about with the SN41G is from people not mounting the HSF properly with good thermal compound.

There are also some interesting ways to monkey up the BIOS which require using the reset jumper to clear. On that front it could also be something with the BIOS battery...

Thats about all that comes to mind. Oh wait, possibly the bad electrolytic capacitor problem...
