Post subject: | Installing a GPT disk |
I have a Imation PRO 7500 16 GB Solid State Drive (sda) with the operating system installed on it. I have a second drive a (sdb) Western Digital Caviar Green WD20EARS 2TB that I want to setup as a data drive. I have used the program GPTfdisk include in LinHES to partition the disk. Partitions are as follows.
sdb1...........5GB...........(area that operating system could be moved to) sdb2..........1GB............Swap sdb3........500GB........../myth/tv/ sdb4........1.3TB.........../myth/video/ If I now go into (Webmin / Partitions on Local Disks) the partitioned disk shows up. Now is there a easy way to get the operating system to recognize this disk? Dos anyone have any notes they use to setup there GPT disks? About a year or two ago I set this up with fdisk and hacked ever permission known to man and got it to work on a 80GB hard disk but I never wrote any of it down because of the sever hacking. TVBox |
