Post subject:  ACPI wakeup no longer working after new MOBO

The SATA controller chip failed on my FE/BE ECS GF8200A motherboard and I've replaced it with a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3. Everything worked straight out of the box apart from fiddling around with the onboard NIC driver/modules however my Myth box no longer wakes up for scheduled recordings, or WOL (possibly the NIC).

Previously it worked perfectly with MythWelcome however now it won't wake up at all from S3, even when using the MythWelcome test scripts. It does wake up however by USB. The mobo RTC is set to UTC, and I've set the system clock based on that.

I've tried re-installing acpid but that didn't help at all. Are there possibly any packages that I could re-install to get it up and running, or could it be loaded modules from the previous mobo that are causing conflicts?

The ECS mobo ran the NVIDIA MCP78S Single Chipset whilst the Gigabyte is running the North Bridge AMD 970 and South Bridge AMD SB950 chipsets.

What logs might you need to help troubleshoot it further?

In the Bios is the RTC (RTC alarm) set to off? If not try it in the off position.
