I'm living in the Netherlands and currently I'm using a PVR350 to record analog channels.
But my cable company is switching off the analog signal, so I'm forced to switch to digital.
The problem is that the channels are encrypted and decrypted using a CI+ interface (I believe, the information is not completely clear to me. There should be some un-encrypted channels).

My questions are:
1) Does someone have experience with LinHes and Ziggo in the Netherlands?
2) What digital tuner (card) can I use (the most easy solution of course :) )?

I was going to suggest looking into the HDHomerun, but there is a thread on reddit where somebody has already looked into it and it is not supported:
https://www.reddit.com/r/cordcutters/co ... h_support/

There's slightly more information on CI+ here:
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual:DVB

but I don't see any solutions. I live in the US and my cable company started broadcasting a number of channels as "copy once" and even with a cable card mythtv could not tune them. Due to this and poor customer service, I dropped them and have been using an antenna for over the air channels for some time now.

Sorry I don't have any answers for you, but as the cable companies make things more and more difficult for paying customers to watch, it seems that fewer people are paying for cable and more are paying for streaming services instead.

Thanks for your thoughts knappster!

I bought a FloppyDTV DVB-C tuner, this should work.
I'm not sure if it works with MythTV though.

My hope was that someone in the Netherlands had any experience with it.

For the ones that are also searching for a solution:
I tried the FloppyDTV DVB-C in combination with LinHES 8.5.2 today and it works out of the box!
It won't tune the HD channels, but the rest works nicely.
