If you have more than one HD-PVR on your system then it is possible that they will occasionally swap positions on video0 and video1 after a reboot. The result of course is that then your channel changer will change the channel on one set top box (STB) and you will end up recording on another. In order to prevent this, you can use udev rules to force assignment of specific HD_PVRs to specific video devices. I hated this problem eventually i just swapped my cards pci slots and everything was fine. I'm glad now that there is a software fix. |

The HD-PVR, being USB based, aggravates this condition. There is a race condition depending on which hd-pvr responds first. |
