Post subject:  [Solved] transmission-cli - run the web interface

Mike, you gave us an excellent advice regarding transmission-cli :

For R6 I reccommed transmission-cli for the LinHES repos. You can run the web interface in conjuction with the daemon. There are instructions when you install for the first time on how to set up a web proxy to make surfing to the web site extra easy.

May you be more specific about setting up a web proxy ? The transmission-cli package available in http://knoppmyth.net/repo/i686/extra was quite shy at providing explanations:
Code:
You can edit the user and options in /etc/conf.d/transmissiond.

To access the web interface:
http://localhost/transmission

Configuration file editing information can be found at:
http://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/ConfigFiles

installed transmission-cli (2.04-1)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Please, forget me. Of course, http://localhost/transmission works; nothing more to tune after package got installed. My attempt was directed at : http://localhost/transmissiond instead.

Great work of the package maintainer.

Post subject:  transmission-cli: Upgrade to 2.21

Mike, you upgraded transmission to version 2.21 in repository extra-testing. Is there a plan to push it to 'extra', for those of us not running on testing repositories ?

Transmission 2.04 is available in 'extra', but torrent creation is buggy. The easiest way seems to upgrade to 2.1.x and later, as transmission-create superseded the transmissioncli -n buggy option.

Thank you.
