I ran this on my test system before applying it to my production system. On my test system I have 2 hard drives,

one TB drive for the general install and a smaller one for videos. I have not got tmdb.pl to work and I can not

find it on the system. Below is what I did, if anyone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly

appreciate it.

Install

Started with Fresh install of R6
Setup system as normal, then changed the theme to "bluetube"

exited frontend

sudo sv stop mythbackend
sudo pacman -R mythcontrols mythsmolt mythappletrailers
sudo pacman -Sy
sudo pacman -Ss mythtv | grep svn

I had to do also remove the following packages
pacman -R mythflix mythgame mythphone mythstream mythzoneminder

sudo pacman -S mythtv-svn mythmusic-svn morethemes-svn mytharchive-svn mythbrowser-svn mythgallery-svn mythnews-svn

myththemes-svn mythvideo-svn mythweather-svn mythweb-svn

sudo pacman -Sd mythappletrailers
sudo cp /usr/share/mythtv/is.xml /usr/share/mythtv/themes/defaultmenu
I then created the directory below

mkdir /home/http/html/mythweb/video_dir

Now, run mythtv-setup to update the db schema
Code:
mythtv-setup
Once complete, restart the backend and start the frontend.
Code:
sudo sv start mythbackend
mythfrontend

Post install options
install x11vnc for remote control of backend

sudo pacman -Sy x11vnc

modify apps file
nano /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps
add the line below above the line "[startup] {/usr/LH/bin/LinHES-run}"
[startup] {/usr/bin/x11vnc -nap -wait 50 -noxdamage -passwd XXXXX -display :0 -forever -o /var/log/x11vnc.log -bg}

make webmin work
pacman -S webmin
add_service.sh webmin

added storage groups under /myth/video directory

mkdir Banners
mkdir Coverart
mkdir Fanart
mkdir Screenshots
mkdir Trailers

give full permissions
chmod 777 *

entered myth setup
Alt + S

Exited mythfrontend and stoped mythbackend
sv stop mythbackend

added storage groups

Thanks

Paul

As I recall, tmdb is no longer in myth as of 0.22 and it has been replaced with Jamu and mythvideo. Both are covered in the mythtv wiki.

After reading the documentation, the solution is simple. Go to the movie that you need metadata information for and hit " i " on your keyboard or remote. You can then get the metadata uploaded (it is one of the options). It worked really well.

I've been running 0.22 via mythtv-svn for awhile now and I find that 'w' is better than 'i'.
