I added Mythmovietime and Apple Trailers in the service menu of R6.01. I am unable to find where Mythmovietime is located at in the menus, am I missing something or does it not add itself?

I also added Apple Trailers, which appears under online streams but when selecting it a load bar goes across the screen and then nothing, it dumps me back to the online streams menu.

Thanks.

I think Apple Trailers is depreciated and broken at the moment, Apple keeps changing things.

Try the HuluDesktop and enable the trailers from there. That works for me.

I just tested Apple Trailers and Movie Times (located in the Information section) and they worked fine for me.

I have always just opened a xterm and used pacman to install things, so perhaps Service Menu just added the option to the menu, but did not install it?

You can search with pacman with
Code:
pacman -Ss name-to-search-for

When I put in movie, some results are;
mythappletrailers
mythmovies
you can install them with
Code:
sudo pacman -Sy packagename

I had a problem with the Apple trailers not showing even when it was installed so I removed it then reinstalled it, then it showed up.
Code:
sudo pacman -R packagename

I did see that 6.02.00 has a check mark to install Mythmovietime but it does not show up anywhere on a menu. (I figured it should show up under Information Center) I also checked /home/mythtv/.mythtv/ and it's not there either.

I ran pacman -Ss movie and it returned
Code:
core/mythmovies 0.22-22012 (mythtv-extras)
Displays information about movies playing in the area.
core/mythmovies-svn 23593-1 (mythtv-extras-svn)
........etc

But when I do a pacman -Sy core/mythmovies 0.22-22012 I get
Code:
:: Synchronizing package databases...
 core is up to date
 extra is up to date
0.22-22012 package not found, searching for group...
error: '0.22-22012': not found in sync db

How can I get and install mythmovietime?

Thanks,

Tim

Don't do pacman -Sy core/mythmovies 0.22-2201 just do
Code:
pacman -Sy mythmovies

Thats how I was able to install it.

But now I have another problem. After I entered the Zip Code and mileage in the config screen. I worked great.

Then I decided to change the Zip Code. I went to the Settings / Info Center / Movie Times

Changed the Zip code and selected Finished. Well when I go back to the Info Center and run Movie Time it still displays the 1st Zip Code I entered.

Seems like it doesn't really apply the change, even though I go back and look at setting. The change is made there. I haven't been able to locate where the change need to be made. Also it does not pull the show times.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Tim

FYI, you're not alone, I have the same problem with show times not appearing in Mythmovies. It shows what's playing in all nearby theaters, but it doesn't show when, and the preview window is always blank. I suspect these features just don't work in Mythmovies 0.22 or 0.23, or the info is missing in whatever online database it's reading. I came across a bugzilla 321723 that mentions the same issue.

(Perhaps the solution is to configure MythTV to record every movie that airs; then you won't have time to go to the theater anyway. :) )

Looking at the XML that it pulls from the website it uses, there are no show times, only what is showing in the theater. It appears they may have removed the show times.

I was trying to figure this out too. Seems it has stoped working and since no one is maintaining it, it may get removed.

Removed:

trunk/mythplugins/mythmovies/

Modified:

trunk/mythplugins/configure

Log:

Remove MythMovies. It has no maintainer, it ha gotten basically no love in a very long time, it is (officially speaking) US only, and most importantly, ignyte stopped returning movie times in the XML at some point in the past few weeks.
