When I download metadata for videos in linhes it does not bring down the cover art. Is there a way to get it to do that?

it works for me. Did you check the myth service menus and ensure the directory you have defined exists and has write permissions?

The directory exists. When I do ls -al its permissions are drwxrwxrwx. It does seem to be hidden when I look at the directory from terminal. When I am not in root I can save a text file to the directory. Any suggestions?

Addendum: I get coverart if I use the allocine script within the myth setup. Could ther be a problem with the tmdb script?

With those permissions the dir should be ok and it is not a symlink right?

What do you mean by "it seems to be hidden"?

Your path to this directory should also have permissions. I assume the other metadata content go into their respective directories fine, it is just the cover art that is not working?

Which program are you using to get cover art? Mythvideo?

You are sure the correct directory is set in the myth service menu for this particular type of metadata?

I do not think it is a symlink but honestly I don't know how to tell. The reason I sait it seems to be hidden is that if I do the ls command without the -a the .covers directory is not visible.

The other metadata is fine.

I am using Mythvideo and the tmdb script that came with the system.

I looked at the directorty but i will double check. The coverart showed up when I used the allocine script it just gave a foreing language title for the one movie I looked at.

Based on what I've seen in the logs, I think this is the problem:

http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/8634

I'm hoping a solution that doesn't require recompiling mythvideo presents itself soon.

Seems like this was fixed in svn: http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/changeset/25287

Hopefully R6 developers will see this and update the appropriate package soon. I'm not willing to get into svn when I'm remotely managing the system from thousands of miles away :)

Sorry for a newbie question, but how do I fix the problem?
Do I have to download the code and compile it my self?

No. You can if you're really impatient but DoomedTX said "Hopefully R6 developers will see this and update the appropriate package soon".
He's willing to wait for the developers to recompile with the patch. When this happens, you would do a pacman sync upgrade (pacman -Syu) and get the updates.

If you're well experienced ad know how to create a pacman package, go for it. You'd just be able to download the source from the LinHES repository, apply the patches and create an upgraded package. I haven't learned to create arch packages yet, so I'd simply wait for the devs.

Thanx, I don't have a clue about making packages for Arch, so I'll wait for the appropriate update.
Meanwhile I'll enjoy my newly installed LinHES 6.0.3 :-)

Does anyone know when this will be available in the pacman repositories? I don't know enough about Arch to pack it myself or I would...
