hi, my KM systems disk is quite full, when i did archive some recordings to an iso file the process stopped as the iso was being written. i solved this for the moment by -in /myth/tmp/work and /myth/tmp/work/1 a.s.o.- deleting the incomplete iso, the other files around it, and the the *.mpg files made from each recording in the '1', '2' a.s.o. folder. that gave disk space to make an iso out of the VOB and related files present in /myth/tmp/work/dvd/VIDEO_TS, using a mkisofs commandline instruction. so now i have the correct iso. bad luck: i was used to transfer these iso's (in comparable situations before) to another (centos) machine in my network, having a dvd writer. but: that machine is not usable now, so i will have to burn on the KM machine which has a dvd-writer too (but gave problems using the KM process to write an iso and burning it to dvd: sometimes that worked, sometimes i got un-readable (corrupted) dvds.... what i want now is burn my iso to a dvd (using the dvd-writer in the KM box). which commandline instruction i have to use? (i must get to a PAL compatible dvd) (i am in europe). must be an easy question for the nerds amongst you thank you |

In fact it's so easy that you shouldn't ask. Try Google instead. |

Almost everyone reading your reply now believes you are completely useless with computers: Does this make you feel better than just saying "yeah, fair enough: I shouldn't waste everyone's time"? Here's a slightly more useful URL for those of you recently defrosted after having been frozen more than 20 years (thanks Paul): http://lmgtfy.com/?q=burn+dvd+iso+command+line You'll need to click on the blue underlined words above, and when these words get replaced with new ones, you need to read them and make a decision about where the answer might be, etc. Best of luck. |
