Post subject:  lirc_imon error log filling up disk space

The LinHES box, happily running for several months now, wouldn't start up into LinHES and threw me to database config screens. I saw some other threads for this "No UPnP" problem, and found that it was because my /root partition was 100% used. I have since deleted a bunch of old, overgrown log files.

/var/log/errors.log grew to over 500M over the last four months, with the same error one line at a time:
lirk_imon: lcd_write: invalid payload size: 32 (expecting 8 )

Anyone know a quick fix to quench this particular error message?

I'm quite sure this stems from my failed attempt to use the LCD and/or remote that came with my Antec case (see http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.p ... c&start=15). I may return to this now that it is back on my mind. I've gotten used to the blank glow of the screen and lugging the wireless keyboard around as a remote. :)

I'm pretty sure when I had this error awhile back setting
Code:
options lirc_imon display_type=1
in one of the lircd configuration files resolved it (not running LinHES ATM and I don't recall which file specifically). See http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=40290&page=25

also the default 6 gb root partition is way too small use gparted to grow your root partition.
