| Post subject: | Video Menu Selection Delay |
I have added a 3TB drive to the system and now when I select video playback it takes several minutes before it displays the root menu. I suspect that this has something to do with the bazillions of files on the 3TB drive and that the box is trying to catalog these files for menu display. Is there any corrective action that can be taken to reduce the delay (cache file list)? |

Not in front of my machine right now, but if you go into the video settings menu you will find one of the options explains that having it selected can cause long delays. I forget what it is called, but there aren't that many settings. The "explanatory text" I am referring to is the text that shows up when you have move the cursor to an option. |

I agree that it should be fixable... I have a machine running a 1 tb main drive and a 2 tb second drive, and it has no delay issues. |
