| Post subject: | Moving Kodi menu? |
After an upgrade, One of my first steps has been to edit /usr/share/mythtv/themes/defaultmenu/library.xml to move Kodi from the bottom of the menu to just below watch recordings, since those are the two things we do the most. I know that I can just arrow up from Watch Recordings to Kodi, but we've always preferred to see both choices on screen. Since the 8.6.1 upgrade from 8.3, the menu item for Kodi isn't in /usr/share/mythtv/themes/defaultmenu/library.xml even though it is shown in the menu. I did a (klunky) 'cat *.xml | grep Kodi' in the defaultmenu directory, and there were no results. I also tried variations like "kodi," "KODI," and even "Open," but nothing is found other than "Open mythtv-setup." Where is this code being inserted into the menu? |

Do you have a /home/mythtv/.mythtv/library.xml file? That is where mine is (I think). But I actually moved the kodi selection to mainmenu.xml in this folder. |

I have an old post here I always reference to find the location in /usr/share/mythtv/themes/defaultmenu/library.xml. I guess I need to use this one as a reference now to the new (to me) location. |
