Some recent nasty power problems in my area left my KnoppMyth box with a corrupt / filesystem that I couldn't fix. Thankfully, I had done a backup just days before, so I just booted the KnoppMyth CD and chose Auto Upgrade. Because /myth had no corruption, I was good to go! This tip hinges on the fact that you need to have done a backup first. You could get away with not doing a backup first if you merely want to preserve the data on /myth and lose your database (settings, metadata, schedules, etc.). |
