Don't go jumping to conclusions and start trying to download R5.5, it's not available yet. ;-)

This is just a placeholder so that the admins can make the hints thread sticky from the get-go.

Admins - please make the new R5.5 Hints thread sticky and unstick the following old threads to reduce clutter. Thanks! :-D
http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16384
http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13108
http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11293

Update: As this has already veered _WILDLY_ off topic before it even had a chance to be made sticky I've retitled the thread and will create a new R5.5 Hints thread after the release. :(

I kind of disagree about removing historical topics. The other topics are clearly marked for the versions they apply to. It just seems like a really, really bad policy to go nuking historical data in the forum because it might confuse someone, don't you think?

I don't think he is asking for them to be nuked, just made unsticky. They will still be in the forum and searchable.

Exactly. IMO the sticky list should be kept short and current. I've seen forums where you have to wade through *pages* of obsolete sticky posts to find current stuff. I don't want to see us go down that road.
